Ageing is everyone’s business – a report on social isolation and loneliness among senior Victorians

A key role of the Commissioner for Senior Victorians is to advise and report to the Victorian Government on priority policy issues affecting senior Victorians.

In 2015, the Minister for Housing, Disability and Ageing, requested consideration of the issue of loneliness and isolation of older people, including the role of volunteering in addressing this.

In April 2016, the Minister launched the Commissioner’s report, Ageing is everyone's business, noting that the Commissioner has identified a significant issue for our ageing population. Read more and download the Government's response to Ageing is everyone's business.
