The Victorian Seniors Festival delivers thousands of free and low-cost events for older people. Celebrate positive ageing and take part in events and activities close to home and right across the state.

Festival events are delivered by:

  • local councils
  • community and cultural organisations
  • businesses

Free travel

Victorian Seniors Card holders can enjoy 9 days of free public transport across Victoria from 3 to 11 October 2026. This includes:

  • all metropolitan public transport services
  • V/Line train and coach services
  • selected regional bus services outside the myki area.

Major events

Victorian Senior of the Year Awards

The annual Victorian Senior of the Year Awards are a feature of the festival. These awards acknowledge older Victorians who volunteer. Nominations are now closed.
