The Victorian Seniors Festival delivers thousands of free and low-cost events for older people. Celebrate positive ageing and take part in events and activities close to home and right across the state.

Festival events are delivered by:
- the Victorian Government
- local councils
- community and cultural organisations
- businesses
All 79 local councils are actively involved in the festival and are key partners. To find out more about events and activities being delivered in your local area, reach out to a festival council .

The online event calendar and print guide are now available, showcasing thousands of festival events across the state.

Free travel
Victorian Seniors Card holders can enjoy 9 days of free public transport across Victoria from 3 to 11 October 2026. This includes:
- all metropolitan public transport services
- V/Line train and coach services
- selected regional bus services outside the myki area.

Major events
Victorian Senior of the Year Awards
The annual Victorian Senior of the Year Awards are a feature of the festival. These awards acknowledge older Victorians who volunteer. Nominations are now closed.
