Event details

Visible mending is a statement to others to say that you care enough about your clothes to mend them, rather than dispose of them.

Mending your own clothing means there is less pressure on resources for new clothing. It also sets an an example to others so that maybe they could do the same.

This session will look at mending:

  • woollen clothing
  • stretchy clothing
  • woven clothing (jeans are ideal).

We will also look at things like sashiko, embroidery and weaving mends.

Bring along your moth-chomped or ripped items, and use visible mending techniques to give your damaged items new life.

Light refreshments provided.

Bookings required.
