Event details

Oceans cover about 70% of the Earth's surface and hold over 95% of its water. Scientists have said we know more about the surface of Mars than about the deep ocean.

In these three sessions, we will explore what we do know about this dominant salty environment.

Talks will be arranged along three themes:

  • Ocean structure and evolution of ocean basins
  • Salinity and ocean circulation
  • Coastal processes, including tides, waves and longshore drift.
