Event overview
Event details
Join us at The Brunswick Town Hall for a screening of Victoria-based documentary film, A Story of Endings.
Directed and self-produced by filmmaker Lucy Pijnenburg, the film follows the work of four death doulas and opens up conversations on topics ranging from advance care planning to our fears around death. Its intention is simple but profound: to help us see death as a natural and meaningful part of life.
After the screening, we’ll gather for a short Q&A and a chance to explore Let’s Talk About Endings, a conversation card deck created by Lucy to help people share stories, reflect, and connect around life’s endings. The evening will be facilitated by death doula Dina Smirnova, who is one of the featured subjects in the film.
Please bring your curiosity and an open mind.
Arrive a little early (from 6:15 pm) for a welcoming cup of tea. We’ll begin the film promptly at 6:30 pm. Bookings are required.
This is an accessible event for people with a disability or special needs. Please contact Andrea should you have additional questions or specific access needs.
