Join us for a unique multicultural Diwali celebration at Hawthorn Arts Centre, featuring the award-winning bansuri virtuoso, Vinod Prasanna, alongside talented guitarist Jenna Campbell.

Experience an enchanting collaboration enhanced by captivating performances from Kathak dancer Sanchita Abrol, tabla maestro Pranav Ram ji and the mesmerizing belly dancer Sahara Moulton.

Celebrate the spirit of Diwali in a vibrant atmosphere adorned with decorative lights, colourful rangoli, and the warm glow of diyas as we honour the festival of lights, joy and community connection.

About the artists:

  • Vinod Prasanna – Bansuri Flute Accomplished bansuri flutist, Vinod brings a soulful interpretation of Indian classical music. His melodies resonate with the essence of Diwali, evoking the spirit of light and joy that encapsulates this festival.
  • Sanchita Abrol – Kathak Classical Dance: A talented dancer renowned for her expertise in traditional Indian dance forms, Sanchita will take the audience on a captivating visual journey. Her graceful movements tell stories of love, light, and celebration, beautifully complementing Vinod’s flute compositions.
  • Sahara Moulton – Fusion Belly Dance: Joining our lineup is Sahara, who infuses contemporary flair into traditional belly dance. Her performances are a delightful blend of cultures, showcasing the beauty and grace of movement through a modern lens, ensuring an invigorating experience for all.
  • Jenna Campbell – Guitar: Jenna’s guitar skills will provide a contemporary twist to our musical ensemble. Her unique arrangements and melodies will bring an additional layer of richness to the performances, bridging the gap between classical and modern music.
