Old Gippstown Heritage Park demonstrations

Experience the sights, sounds and stories of Gippsland’s past at Old Gippstown Heritage Park, through live heritage demonstrations presented by knowledgeable volunteers during the Positive Ageing Festival.

Watch the blacksmith at work in the forge, explore traditional woodworking skills, discover the craft of hand spinning, see sewing on a treadle machine, and learn how butter was made before modern conveniences.

As you wander through the village, meet friendly volunteers in period costume along Main Street who bring history to life through conversation and storytelling.

These demonstrations offer opportunities to reminisce, share memories, learn new skills and connect with others in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
