Event overview
Event details
This production in the heart of Melbourne’s theatre district celebrates 90 glorious years of ‘innocent merriment’ from one of Australia's oldest performing arts groups, Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Victoria, and 150 years of Trial By Jury, which began the most successful partnership that the theatre has known.
Trial By Jury starts with a breach of promise of marriage and becomes a frothy courtroom comedy. The performance is presented with a historical and musical recreation of Gilbert and Sullivan productions in Victoria with particular emphasis on the 90 years of the Society. We showcase our most brilliant performers old and new, with full chorus and orchestra.
A concession ticket is offered to holders of these cards: Senior, Health, Pension, Department of Veteran Affairs, Student, Society Member. Companion card accepted.
There will be a program and raffle tickets available for sale.
