Event overview
Event details
Learn practical journalling techniques among the seasonal flowers and grasses of the Australian Drylands Precinct.
Slow down, rest, and engage with the living landscape through:
- drawing
- writing
- mapping
- observing.
The workshop will take place near the Field Furniture installation. Field Furniture is a place for contemplation and discovery. It's a place to explore the Royal Botanic Gardens through both macro and micro perspectives. From tree canopies and birdlife to grasses, wildflowers, textures and insect activity.
Nature journalling is about curiosity. It encourages observing, reflecting, and connecting with place. No artistic experience is required. Journalling materials will be provided.
The area is grass and has gentle inclines. We will provide mats, cushions and stools. If you have specific seating requirements, please let us know when you book.
Enter the Australian Drylands area via the Domain Road gate at the southeast corner of the Gardens.
