City of Melbourne: Seniors Film Festival – Late Bloomers

Late Bloomers (USA, 2023):

A bittersweet intergenerational comedy-drama starring Karen Gillan. Louise, an aimless 28-year-old musician in New York, drunkenly breaks her hip and ends up in physical therapy alongside patients twice her age.

An unlikely friendship with Antonina, an elderly Polish woman who speaks no English, forces both of them to confront what it means to grow up — and grow old.
