No appointments or GP referrals are needed to access Urgent Care Services. These services operate 24/7 or extended hours, and are available across Victoria
You don’t need a Medicare card to access these services. Urgent Care Services are staffed by expert urgent care doctors or nurses.
Three ways to get urgent care
You can choose to get urgent care in three ways.
Visit an Urgent Care Clinic
Walk-in to a free Urgent Care Clinic when you need immediate healthcare now but it's not life-threatening.
There are 29 locations across Victoria. The Clinics provide expert urgent care 7 days a week, and are open early to late.

Video call with Virtual Emergency Care
Virtual Emergency Care connects you to an emergency doctor or nurse from your computer, laptop or mobile phone. It is available for free 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Online registration forms are available in multiple languages. The Victorian Virtual Emergency Department offers interpreting services.

Call Nurse-on-Call
Nurse-on-Call is a free helpline that will connect you with a registered nurse.
Call Nurse-on-Call if you want to speak to someone over the phone, or need advice on whether you should seek further medical help. Help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 1300 60 60 24.
