Welcome to the Social Support Hub

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), most Victorian councils are providing local support services to residents, including older people. The Social Support Hub lists all 79 Victorian councils in alphabetical order, and details of other organisations offering support and assistance to older people. For each council listing there is a phone number, website and email addresses. Older people can make contact to find out about social support services offered by council and other organisations including the U3A, COTA, Neighbourhood Houses, Probus. Life Activities Clubs, the Ethnic Communities Council and the Australian Multicultural Community Services, plus information curated for the LGBTI community.

So pick up the phone, send an email or find out what services are available through the web links on this page.

The Social Support Hub also contains:

  • Exercise programs to help you get active and stay healthy
  • Nostalgic movies to watch from the Australian Centre for the Moving Image
  • Details on the Older persons advocacy network, and Partners in Wellbeing program

Information will added be to this site on a regular basis. Please check back for updates.
