The Walking Football initiative delivers modified walking football programs to older people and addresses multiple common barriers to sport participation.
The program is designed to improve fitness and health through a modified and slower version of the game, encouraging older members of the community and those with restricted mobility to be more active and use football as a vehicle to socialise.
Walking Football has proven to be a huge success both here and around the world.
For this intro program we will be playing on Wednesdays at 10am for 1 hour.
We start with a 5 min warm up session.
You are welcome to come along and watch and see what this new craze is all about.
We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes (runners or sneakers), no football boots please!
Remember to bring your water bottle.
