In a Persian Garden: Life and Love through the Victorian Lens Two views of life, fate, and love through the Victorian lens. Liza Lehmann’s 1896 setting of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyám – a superb and rarely-heard song cycle for four voices, together with a generous selection of Gilbert and Sullivan favourites complimenting the themes of ‘In a Persian Garden’.
Featuring EMILY HOLLAND (soprano), HELEN HILL (contralto), BRETT O’MEARA (tenor) and IAN WOOLFORD (bass). Ian Woolford was recently seen as The Pirate King in Presented by Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Victoria's sell out production of The Pirates of Penzance (see image).
