Event details
To celebrate Victorian Seniors Festival 2024, join Parks Victoria and Carer Gateway to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of walking in nature whilst connecting with other carers and finish the walk with a free coffee at the nearby boathouse!
Did you know that 1 in 8 Australians are unpaid carers? Unpaid carers are people who look after a family member, friend or partner who is living with a chronic health condition, mental illness, disability or who is frail due to age. To show our support for carers, Parks Victoria and Merri Health Carer Gateway have partnered together to offer walks specifically for them, an interactive peer support group for unpaid carers walking through leafy Yarra Bend Park.
To participate, you must be a carer.
Bookings essential!
If you're not yet signed up with Carer Gateway don't worry—once you register, someone from Carer Gateway will get in touch with you.
