Join Narrelle as she talks about her grand literary passion and her two latest books, both of which celebrate crime fiction’s greatest detecting duo – and their Mrs Hudson.
Narrelle M. Harris, the award-winning author of 13 novels and the editor/co-editor of four mystery and supernatural anthologies, has also written over a million words of Sherlock fanfiction.
Yes, Audrey Hudson – menopausal werewolf – modern-day landlady to the newly-acquainted Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson, is the heroine of The She Wolf of Baker Street.
This funny, queer and paranormal adventure features murder, mystery and the longtime fae inhabitants of London. Narrelle will also talk about the genesis and bold stories in her co-edited anthology, Sherlock is a Girl’s Name, which imagines what kind of detective Sherlock Holmes would be if she was a woman. Fourteen stories give the famous occupants of 221B Baker Street mysteries to solve in Victorian London, 1990s Russia, contemporary USA, Kenya, and even deep space, proving Sherlock and her Dr Watson can solve mysteries in any place or time.
Narrelle’s books will be available, for card or cash, on the night.
