Join us for a screening of 'Gerhard Richter – Painting'.
Filmed in the spring and summer of 2009, this documentary offers insight into the practice of one of the world’s most significant contemporary artists working today. Richter, now 79, has spent over 50 years experimenting with an extensive range of techniques and concepts.
This film provides a rare look inside his studio, showcasing his creative, archival footage and discussions with critics and collaborators.
The screening will include a curator-led exhibition tour of ‘Pattern Recognition’ before the film.
Town Hall Gallery will be open late.
Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase at the Arts Bar.
