The Duke – coming to a cinema near you on 31 March 2022.
Inspired by true events, The Duke is the story of Kempton Bunton, a 60-year old taxi driver, who stole Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London.
Led by two British greats, Jim Broadbent and Dame Helen Mirren and directed by the late Roger Michell (Notting Hill, Tea with the Dames), The Duke is the first film to tell this extraordinary true story.
The Duke has received amazing critical response from international festivals and releases, and was selected to open the British Film Festival where it broke all previous box office records.
Set in working class, 1960’s London with a standout cast, the film’s central themes include the power of community, family and opportunity for all.
