In a Festival first, the Victorian Seniors Festival Aged Care Tour has leading Victorian performers delivering magic, music, glamour and entertainment to Victorian seniors who might not have been able to experience the fun of the Festival due to COVID-19 restrictions.

From December 2021 to March 2022, the Victorian Seniors Festival Aged Care Tour visits homes in a range of locations including Thornbury, Warburton, Mornington, Heathcote and Ballarat.

The Victorian Seniors Festival Aged Care Tour is providing opportunities for seniors to not only participate in new and diverse activities, which can enhance their health and wellbeing, but also enjoy the reintroduction of entertainers following the cancellation of visitors and volunteers during lockdown.

Here’s some of the wonderful feedback from the tour so far

We had Eduardo come to us today, he performed during our Christmas party in the Chapel and it was fantastic. The care he took with setting up and interacting with the residents (COVID safely of course) was amazing! It was our first chapel event in two years and he made it work so wonderfully! A pleasure to have him.
Johanna - Multicultural Aged Care Services Geelong

I just wanted to let you know that Elio performed magnificently for us yesterday afternoon. We had a great turnout of residents who thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The feedback was wonderful from both residents and staff who watched the performance.
Santiago, Sacred Heart Community St Kilda

Wow how amazing was Rod Vincent? He has to be the finest performer we have had here in 25 years. We wish we could have him come back next year, the residents are still talking about him!
Rosie - Alpine Health Hawthorn Village Bright

A big ‘thank you’ for the fantastic performance at Lionsbrae on Monday. The ladies – the Three-Legged Pony Trio were so entertaining, and the residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was great to be able to offer them entertainment again after the long Covid lockdown.
Sue - Lionsbrae Hostel, Ringwood East

We would like to thank the Victorian Seniors Festival for facilitating this visit. Aurora Kurth was lovely and the residents at Wattle Rise (Marborough) very much enjoyed her performance. Looking forward to her visit to Dunolly in January.
Sandi - Maryborough District Health Service

I would just like to send you a huge thank-you for providing Frank Lee Darling for performing for us here at Wilson Lodge. It was a fantastic day and the residents really enjoyed the music and performance he provided.
Tanya - Wilson Lodge Sale, Central Gippsland Health

Hi, I cannot thank Frank Lee Darling enough for Tuesday. His entertainment was fabulous. I would love to have him come back and perform again for the residents.
