Screening process
All shortlisted nominees for the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards will be subject to a vetting process conducted by the Department of Family, Fairness and Housing.
Shortlisted nominees will be contacted in August and advised that they are being considered for an award. They will be notified by email, or letter if the nominee does not have an email address.
The email or letter will contain a set of terms and conditions for being considered for an award, and a National Police Check Consent Form.
All nominees must:
- Confirm their acceptance of terms and conditions, and follow instructions that will be set out in the notification email or letter
- Submit a completed National Police Check Consent Form with the associated proof of identity documents.
In the event that the nominee does not accept the terms and conditions, the nominee will be ineligible to be considered for the awards. The nominee will be removed from the short list.
