Koalas at Melbourne Zoo

They say an elephant never forgets. They say a leopard can’t change its spots. They even say toucan play at that game. If you’re not sure what they’re on about a visit to the Melbourne Zoo may be just what you need.

There has never been a better time to visit because during the Victorian Seniors Festival the zoo has many special offers for Seniors Card holders.

Between 9 – 13 October the zoo is offering two-for-one entry admission for Seniors Card members, 10 per cent off everything in its gift shops and, if you sign up to become a member during this period, you’ll get an extra three months for free.

And that’s not all, during this time the Melbourne Zoo is presenting the following special events for Seniors Card holders:

  • Entertainment: There will be roving performances by Hippie Power at the Lakeside Café from 12–2pm.
  • Meet the keeper talks: Noon daily at Lion Gorge. There will also be a special Lemur talk at 1.30pm each day at Lemur Island.
  • Free guided tour: Each day at 11am an expert will explain everything you need to know as you walk around the zoo. Places are limited so the tours will be operating on a first come-first served basis.

For more information, including how to become a member, call 9340 2780 during business hours. You can even discuss the elephant in the room.

Melbourne Zoo events are being held as part of the 2017 Victorian Seniors Festival, which runs throughout October.
