Robin Gale-Baker from Macleod re-emphasises just how everyone, including seniors, can make a big contribution to their local environment.
Robin is an activist on sustainability and broader environmental issues. She delivers workshops that promote the benefits of local healthy food production and on the worldwide transition movement which aims to establish caring, safe and resilient local communities.
She also established the Sustainable Macleod, the Macleod Vegie Swap and the Macleod Organic Community Gardens.
Last year Robin received the Healthy and Active Living Award for her wonderful work. If you know someone like Robin you can nominate them for one of the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards this year. But hurry, nominations close July 5.
